Murder Mystery Dinner Theater

This is your invitation to the wedding of Brenda and Edward. Mark your calendar for March 23 at 7 p.m. in the Aberdeen recreation center ballroom. The wedding reception starts on a sour note when the bride and groom arrive late because of a flat tire. Open Mic Thursday and Karaoke

Are you talented? Can you sing? Play an instrument? Open Mic Thursday at Ruggles Golf Course is the time to show off your talent. The next Open Mic and Karaoke is March 15 from 5:30. to 8:30 p.m. in the golf course clubhouse. The event will be hosted by Lou Melo of Melo Time Karaoke. Admission is free. APG Coed Volleyball League

APG Coed Volleyball League sign-up for the April 9-May 17 season is open through March 26. Registration is $150 per team, $20 for civilians on military teams, and free for active-duty military. Fees are due before the season starts. Mixed Martial Arts Classes

Mixed Martial Arts classes begin March 5 in the Aberdeen recreation center, Room 104. Registration is $60 for four weeks of classes, up to six classes a week. The minimum number of people per class is six with a maximum of 20. Monday and Thursday classes are available 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday classes are available 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday is available 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Registration fee can be paid at the Leisure and Travel offices in the recreation centers at APG North And South. Joint (FRG) Leader Training

Joint Family Readiness Group training is set March 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Bldg. 2503, second floor in the CYSS classroom. Training provides information and tips to help FRG leaders, unit leadership and volunteers run an effective FRG. EDGE Adventures at Anita C. Leight Estuary Center

Join APG's EDGE program March 13, 20 and 27 for some outdoor fun at the Anita C. Leight Estuary Center in Abingdon. Spend the afternoons fishing, hiking, and canoeing at one of the few remaining large freshwater tidal marshes accessible to the public in the upper Chesapeake Bay. This free outing is intended for eligible youth ages 13-18.

The bus will leave the Aberdeen Youth Center the afternoon of the event at 3:30 p.m. and return around 6:30 p.m. Each adventure will be different from the previous week. The schedule is as follows: March 13 (fishing for teens 16-18 with valid fishing license, equipment provided) March 20 (Hiking), March 27 (Canoeing, life jacket and equipment provided). Survivor meet-up

APG's Army Community Service is inviting survivors of Soldiers and civilian employees March 15 and 19 from 6-8:30 p.m. in the ACS conference room in Bldg. 2503 to meet other Families who have suffered the loss of a loved one. During these events, participants will have a voice in future Family potlucks, survivor events and memorial events. Refreshments will be served. Childcare will be provided. CYSS Fairy Dish Garden Workshop

Learn how to create a fairy dish garden March 23 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Edgewood Youth Center. Children ages five and up will be taught to create a path through plants; make a garden bridge or gate; and sculpt garden mushrooms, creatures or a fairy house. This workshop will show children to create a wonderful gift, 4-H project or entry in the county fair.

Keystone Club Orientation/Paint Ball Trip

The Keystone Club Orientation is March 24 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Aberdeen Youth Services Bldg. 2522. Keystone Club is the Boys and Girls Club of America's premier teen leadership program. Founded in 1964, Keystoning meets teens' vitally important needs for positive group experiences. With the guidance of the Club's staff, opportunities are provided for teens to make leadership decisions, engage in academic and career experiences and serve others. CPR and AED Training for Teens

The APG Fire and Emergency Services will provide free CPR and AED training for eligible youth ages 13-18 March 26 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in room 214 of the CYSS Admin Building 2503. Students will learn life-saving skills and receive certification cards. Training is useful for many summer jobs and is always a great skill to have. Spaces are limited. Bunny Hop Fun Runs

The APG community is invited to participate in the annual APG North and South (Edgewood) Bunny Hop Fun Runs March 27 and April 4, respectively. Both runs will begin at 3 p.m. Runners and their Families are also invited to attend the Spring Festivals immediately following the Runs. Participants may also purchase a Fun Run shirt designed for the occasion. Shirts are $12 when purchased before race day and $15 on race day. Please make sure to register for a run before March 5. APG Spring Community Festivals

APG North and South will be having their annual Spring Festivals March 27 and April 4, respectively. The APG North Festival will be held in the Aberdeen Recreation Center and the APG South (Edgewood) Festival will be held in the Starke Recreation Center. Both events begin at 4:30 p.m. There's sure to be lots of entertainment for the entire Family such as photos with the Easter Bunny, children's arts and crafts, live entertainment, face paintings, balloon sculptures, temporary tattoos, refreshments, food vendors, and much more. As part of the festivities, there will be Easter basket decorating contests the day of each event. 2012 APG MWR Travel Fair

Cecil County Drag Way Trip

Are you revving up for a night at the races? Come join APG MWR for a night of racing Friday, March 30 from 5-9 p.m. at the Cecil County Drag way. Watch local racers drive their modified cars in a safe environment. If you enjoy racing, NASCAR, or just like the sound of a rumbling engine, this is the activity for you. Must be 18 years or older to attend. If under 18, must be accompanied by an adult.

4-H Clover Buds Group

The 4-H Clover Buds Group will meet April 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the CYSS Admin. Bldg. 2503 in room 214. The group is for children ages 6-8 to experience arts and crafts, fun games, and participate in community service projects. Come meet new people, have fun, and at the same time, do something for others!

Beginner Tae Kwon Do

The Unity Tae Kwon Do School of Martial Arts at APG presents Beginner Tae Kwon Do featuring Sabunim Sean A. Williams. The classes are intended for ages 6-14 and will meet in the APG Bowling Center April 3-June 21 every Tuesday and Thursday. Students have the option to select from two class sessions: 6:30-7:15 p.m. and 7:15-8:00 p.m.

Tae Kwon Do promotes discipline, as well as muscle toning and conditioning. Students must wear a white t-shirt and sweat pants. This entry-level class is for students who have never participated in our Tae Kwon Do program. Class size is limited, so register early. The price of tuition is $150 per student for the 12-week session. Price does not include GI or equipment.

Tiny Tigers Tae Kwon Do

The Unity Tae Kwon Do School of Martial Arts at APG presents Tiny Tigers Tae Kwon Do featuring Sabunim Sean A. Williams. The classes are intended for ages 3-6 and will meet in the APG Bowling Center April 3-June 21 every Tuesday and Thursday. Parents have the option to select from two class sessions: 5:30-6 p.m. and 6-6:30 p.m. Parent participation is required. Our Tiny Tigers program is an age-appropriate version of Tae Kwon Do that will help direct your child's energy into confidence and character building skills. Students will learn traditional Tae Kwon Do techniques such as blocking, punching, and of course, kicking. Students will test every 3-6 classes.

Class size is limited to 12 participants, so register your child early. The price of tuition is $100 per student for the 12-week session. Price does not include GI or equipment. Hand Paint Custom Shirts

SKIES' Hand Paint Custom Shirt class is April 14 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Aberdeen Youth Center. Admission is $20 per person. In this class, children will learn the basics of hand painting artwork onto t-shirts. Also, students will learn to use a projector, paint fabric and to hand paint their own t-shirts.

Ways to Handle the Stress of Parenting

Who said parenting was easy? While it is the most rewarding job, parenting also comes with its struggles. Army Community Service will hold a seminar to equip individuals with tools to overcome struggles faced by every parent. The seminar is April 17 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in ACS Bldg. 2503. Driving School

The Ultimate Driving School, LLC, offers classes through June 20 at 13 N. Parke Street in Aberdeen. Classes are conducted Mon.-Thurs. 5 - 8:15 p.m.

Sessions are: April 09-25, May 07-23 and June 04-20. $335 per student. Prices subject to change without notice. Class includes 30 hours classroom instruction and six hours behind the wheel instruction. Last day to register is one week prior to the first class. Discount Aquarium tickets

The Leisure Travel Office offers discount tickets to the National Aquarium in Baltimore. Adult tickets cost $23.25 per person; tickets for children ages 3 to 11 cost $17.50; active duty tickets cost $19 each and are issued one per active duty ID card only. Board horses at APG Stables

The APG stables are a self-care boarding facility located in the Edgewood Area, Bldg. E5286, for privately owned horses of military and civilian employees, retirees and Family members. All patrons must have a valid military or installation ID card.

Personal Training

APG Sports Branch is offering personal training programs. All active duty military and Family members, DoD civilians and Family members, and DoD contractors are eligible.

Training is offered at the athletic center, fitness center and Hoyle Gym to assist customers in meeting their personal fitness needs.

The program is offered in individual half-hour and one-hour sessions and blocks of sessions. Individual half-hour sessions cost $40 each; one-hour sessions cost $55 each. Blocks of six half-hour sessions for the cost of five sessions is $200; blocks of six sessions for the cost of five sessions is $275

APG Running Club

The APG Sports and Fitness Branch has begun a Running Club for organized weekly runs. Club members meet at 5 p.m. every Tuesday at the Aberdeen Area Athletic Center and 5 p.m. every Thursday at Hoyle Gym in the Edgewood Area.
